Sun, Moon & planetary positions — calculated live from the astronomy-engine library (real ephemeris math, not a lookup table), loaded from three fallback CDNs so one going down doesn't take the page with it. Sign, degree, and retrograde status are computed fresh on every load.
Moon phase & illumination — same engine, using true phase angle rather than a simplified day-count approximation.
Sunrise / sunset / moonrise / moonset — computed from your location when available; when it isn't, a seasonal estimate or phase-based approximation is shown and clearly marked with "≈" rather than presented as exact.
Transit & retrograde windows — hand-documented astrological events (retrograde stations, eclipses, equinoxes, major moons) checked against real dates, standardized to 3 / 7 / 14 / 30 / 90-day lookahead windows so the range you pick is consistent everywhere in the app.
If something looks stuck — a self-healing check runs in the background for the first 20 seconds after load and quietly retries once, no visible error, no reload needed.
